Keep The Seventh Day Sabbath Set Apart As Holy

Peace (shalom/eirene) and favor (ched/charis) be to you, in the name of Jesus (Yeshua/Iesous). The majority of humanity fails to observe the weekly sabbath, and also understand the importance of our Creator’s eternal cycles of seven. The sabbath is the very first and only weekday which He has ever set apart as His special and sacred day. He has also encoded this same unique seven day cycle within the dna of every living thing. 

Chronobiology is the study of biological rhythms (and how the bodies of all living things use time). Scientists have discovered that every cell has imbedded within its primal genetic material an unique rhythm, clock, beat, and frequeincy that resonates and helps it to get in sync and live and function, precisely as our Creator YaHWeH Elohim originally designed. Our circadian rhythms cycle on an average of every 24 hours. However, did you know that our Maker has placed His signature within the sacred mathematics of all creation, and that our circaseptan rhythm and beat is seven days?

All rhythmic functions of the body of every living organism (including all individual animal, 
plant, or single-celled life forms) possess an innate seven day frequency. When all of the rhythms and the cells perform a bodily task, the reaction occurs on a seven day weekly schedule. This is not mere accident nor coincidence, but intelligent Divine design. 

As a Messianic/Nazarene/Christian-Jewish Cherokee/Irish/Scottish/English praise/worship percussionist/drummer and medicine man (scriptural minister of healing holistic [including homeopathic] remedies), I have learned the importance of being in tune with the rhythms of both the Supernatural and natural realms (dimensional planes of existence). When I observe the collective peoples of the world, I see a restless majority who is out of sync and harmony with the spiritual cycles of Supernature, as well as the biological cycles of nature, and are thus reaping many negative consequences for doing so (including spiritual confusion, deception, weakness, and also a wide variety of mental, emotional, and physical disorders and diseases, some of which can potentially be fatal). 

So, how do we attune ourselves to our Creator’s divine mathematical frequency of sevens (septans), which He encoded within the building blocks of all biological life forms? We do so, by aligning ourselves with His cycle, timing and ways, which bring benefit and blessings to our lives, rather than detriment and curses. Many who ignore this cycle, and refuse to rest every seven days (on the weekly sabbath) will eventually suffer from weakened and sickened spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical health. Our Creator desires for us as His children to be healthy, whole and complete, lacking no good thing. (1 Thessalonians 5:23, etc.) 

As it is above, so likewise, it is below, for the spiritual realm parallels the physical. In the beginning, YaHWeH our Elohim made the heavens, earth, and all of physical life by His creative Word, sounds and frequencies. Then after creatively working for six consecutive day periods, He rested on the seventh day Sabbath period (which was the very first and only day that He sanctified and set apart as holy, uniquely distinct from all other days). 

"By the seventh day Elohim completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then Elohim blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because on that day He rested from all the work of creation that He had accomplished." (Genesis 2:2-3)

The seventh day sabbath is the only day of the week which our Creator has both blessed and sanctified as holy. Many believers today do not realize that the sabbath day was observed by His people for millennia (ever since Adam), prior to YaHWeH writing the Ten Commandments in stone on Mount Sinai. One prime example of this conclusive factual truth, is this passage of Scripture about the Shemite Israelites in Egypt (during their 400 years of slavery) : 

  "But the king of Egypt said, ‘Moses and Aaron, why are you taking the people away from their labor? Get back to your work!’ Then Pharaoh said, ‘Look, the people of the land are now numerous, and you make them rest from their work.’ " (Exodus 5:4,5)

The word here translated “rest” is the Hebrew verb “shabath”, which is contextually referring to the rest of the seventh-day Sabbath. Pharaoh blamed Moses and Aaron for causing them to keep the sabbath, and made their work much more difficult, by taking away the straw. 

Here are several confirmational passages of Scripture which contain the same Hebrew verb :

“And He [shabath] rested on the seventh day. Because that in it He had [shabath] rested.” (Genesis 2:2-3)

“So the people [shabath] rested on the seventh day.” (Exodus 16:30)

“On the seventh day you shall [shabath] rest.” (Exodus 23:12 ; Exodus 34:21a) 

(Exodus 31:17)

“The seventh day he [shabath] rested.

Also, another confirmation is within Exodus chapter 16, which reveals that after Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt into the wilderness, during the 15th day of the 2nd month, they began to trek towards Sinai, and received the manna from heaven every six consecutive week-days, and were commanded to rest on the seventh day sabbath. They had to gather a double portion of the manna on the 6th (also called “preparation”) day, or else, if they gathered any on the seventh day sabbath, it became cursed by YaHWeH and spoiled, being rotten with maggots and completely inedible. He blessed the sabbath day, but cursed any work done therein. This began long before the Israelites ever made it to Mount Sinai, and received the Ten Commandments in stone. 

"Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it set apart as holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to YaHWeH your Elohim. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. For in six days YaHWeH made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore YaHWeH blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy." (Exodus 20:8-11)

This fourth of the original Ten Commandments (which YaHWeH gave to the prophet Moses ontop of Mount Sinai over 4,000 years ago) was not the origin of mankind’s observation of the sabbath day rest, but a renewed continuation of it, millennia after it had its start during the first seventh day period when our Maker rested from His creative labors (after fashioning the heavens and earth). The keeping of the seventh day sabbath as a time of rest preceded the coded law upon the tablets of stone, and was encoded within the dna of all organic life forms. Thus, it is not a mere Commandment, but a central part of our internal genetic makeup, and of who and what we are as the sons and daughters of YaHWeH our Elohim, created in His image and likeness. Our bodies are the temples of His Holy Spirit, and we are destined to both reflect and emanate His divine light-life frequencies, whenever we are aligned, synchronized and harmonized with Him, His cycles, and ways. (Genesis 1:27 ; 1 Corinthians 6:19 ; 2 Corinthians 3:18, etc.). 

According to Genesis chapters 1 and 2, John chapter 1,  Colossians 1:16, etc., it was Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah who created all things, in accordance with the will of Father YaHWeH haElyon (the Most High). He is the Master of the Sabbath, and He created the Sabbath day for the benefit and blessing of mankind, including the Gentiles (not only the twelve tribes of Shemite Hebrew-Yisraelites). 

“The Sabbath was made for the good of human beings; they were not made for the Sabbath. So then, the Son of Man is Master even of the Sabbath." (Mark 2:27-28)

Even though the eternal Law of YaHWeH commands us to rest on the seventh day Sabbath, Yeshua the Messiah said that under certain conditions (where others need our help, etc.), that selfless work is allowed during these exceptions :

1) Saving a life (Mark 3:4 ; Luke 6:9)

2) Healing others (Luke 6:1-10 ; Mark 3:1-5 ; John 5:9 and 9:14 ; Luke 13:10-16)

3) Conducting circumcision (John 7:23)

4) Teaching (Mark 1:21 ; Luke 4:31 ; Acts 18:4)

5) Serving at the Temple (Matthew 12:5)

6) Rescuing an animal in distress (Matthew 12:11 ; Luke 14:1-6)

7) Showing acts of compassion (Matthew 12:1-4)

8 ) Caring for animals (Luke 13:15)

9) Carrying a bed (John 5:9-16)

10) Meeting the needs of others before fulfilling religious obligations (Mark 2:27-28)

He is the One who rested on the first seventh day period, blessed and set it apart as the only holy day of the week. He never changes, and is the same yesterday, today and forever. (Malachi 3:6 ; Hebrews 13:8) Yeshua (Jesus) kept all of the Commandments perfectly, and was a devoted keeper of the weekly Sabbath day rest. At the time of His death, His followers clearly continued the observation of the seventh day Sabbath, waiting until it was past to prepare His body for burial (Matthew 28:1; Mark 16:1-2; Luke 23:56; Luke 24:1). 

Fifty days from Messiah's resurrection from the dead, many believers gathered for the feast of Shavuot (Weeks), also called the Day of Pentecost ("Fifty"), one of YaHWeH's seven yearly feasts observed in addition to the weekly Sabbath (Leviticus 23), and it was on that special day that the collective New Covenant-Testament Assembly of Messianic-Christian believers was founded by the coming of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1-4).

"And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up: and, as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read." (Luke 4:16)

“And, behold, one came and said unto Him, Master, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life? And He said unto him, if you want to enter into eternal life, keep the commandments." (Matthew 19:16,17)

“But pray that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day." (Matthew 24, 20).

"And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments and rested on the Sabbath day according to the commandment." (Luke 23:56)

There are many scriptures that verify the Sabbath day being the 7th day of the week. All throughout the 'New testament', the first day of the week is called "The first day of the week" and the 7th day of the week is called "The Sabbath". This fact alone should prove when the Sabbath truly is. 

"After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb." (Matthew 28:1)

The word, “Sabbath” or “Sabbaths” is mentioned 172 times throughout the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible, including 60 times within the New Testament. If Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah had replaced the observation of the seventh day Sabbath with the first day Sunday, it is blatantly obvious that He and/or His apostles (who followed His righteous example) would have taught about a change. Of course, this never occurred. 

As for the first day of the biblical lunar-solar calendar week, (which occurs at the same time as the solar Roman calendar Sunday), is mentioned only eight times within the New Testament, as days when work was done, and believers traveled, etc. In 1 Corinthians 16:1-4, the disciples were told by Paul to take up a “collection for the saints” on the first day of the week. The biblical passage of Romans 15:25-28 explains that this special collection (primarily of food and supplies) was taken for the saints in Jerusalem because they were poor. Paul was instructing them to gather up food and supplies for the Jerusalem brethren on the first day (Sunday), after the seventh day Sabbath (on Saturday) had ended.

Much too often, people confuse the book of the Levitical Mosaic Law with the stone tablets of YaHWeH’s Ten Commandment Law, but they are very different. The Law of the Levites was written by the human Moses within a book, due to it not being eternal, like the only words which our Creator YaHWeH Elohim has ever written upon His creation, the Ten Commandments upon stone tablets which withstand the test of time. 

The Law of Moses was the temporal, ceremonial law of the Old Testament Levite priests, which had become obsolete. (Hebrews 8:13) It regulated the Levitical priesthood, sacrifices, rituals, meat and drink offerings, etc., all of which foreshadowed the cross. This law was added "till the seed should come," and that seed was Messiah (Galatians 3:16, 19). The ritual and ceremony of Moses' law pointed forward to Messiah’s sacrifice. When He died, this law came to an end, but the Ten Commandments (YaHWeH’s law) "stand fast for ever and ever." Psalm 111:7,8.

“...but sin is not imputed when there is no law.” (Romans 5:13)

“So indeed, the Law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.” (Romans 7:12)

The Bible Scriptures say, “Where no law is, there is no transgression [or sin]." Romans 4:15. 

So YaHWeH’s Ten Commandment law existed from the beginning. Men broke that law. "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law." (1 John 3:4)

Because of sin (or breaking eternal YaHWeH’s law), Moses’ temporal Levitical Old Covenant law was given (or "added" Galatians 3:16, 19) until Messiah should come and die. 

The Ten Commandment Covenant was made three days after the Levitical Mosaic law was given, and was called a covenant on its own. 

“And He declared unto you His covenant, which He commanded you to perform, even Ten Commandments; and He wrote them upon two tables of stone.” (Deuteronomy 4:13)

“And he was there with YaHWeH forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And He wrote upon the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.” (Exodus 34:28)

The Ten Commandments are the basis for YaHWeH’s everlasting Covenant. “These words YaHWeH spoke unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and He added no more. And He wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me.” (Deuteronomy 5:22)

YaHWeH specifically stated that, “He added no more.” There was nothing else added to this Ten Commandment Covenant. Exodus 34:28 also says that “the words of the covenant” were just “the Ten Commandments” that “He wrote upon tablets” of stone. 

The Ten Commandments are called "the Royal law" and the perfect Law of liberty. 

“If you fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself, you do well.” (James 2:8)

The temporal Levitical Law of Moses was not written upon stone (as the eternal Ten Commandments were), but within a book. Stone represent the eternal, but a book represents the temporal. YaHWeH wrote with His finger the divine Ten Commandments, but Moses wrote the Levitical law. Everything has a deep, multi-layered meaning and purpose. 

“And they removed the burnt offerings, that they might give according to the divisions of the families of the people, to offer unto YaHWeH, as it is written in the book of Moses. And so did they with the oxen.” (2 Chronicles 35:12)

“And He gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of Elohim.” (Exodus 31:18)

“And the tablets were the work of Elohim, and the writing was the writing of Elohim, written upon the tablets.” (Exodus 32:16)

The book of the temporal Levitical Law of Moses was placed within the side of the ark, whereas the eternal stone tablets containing the Ten Commandments Law of YaHWeH was placed inside of the Ark of the Covenant, underneath the Mercy Seat. 

“Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of YaHWeH your Elohim, that it may be there for a witness against you.” (Deuteronomy 31:26)

“And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark.” (Exodus 40:20)

These handwritten ordinances and commandments of the Levitical Law of Moses (within the book) were done away with, due to being temporary and imperfect. However, the eternal stone tablet Ten Commandments Law, and also Scriptural prophecies will endure forever, and not one single detail will ever pass away, even when heaven and earth do. 

 “Having abolished in His flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace.” (Ephesians 2:15)

 “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross.” (Colossians 2:14)

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. Heaven and earth will disappear. But not even the smallest detail will ever disappear from the Law. Everything written in it must be accomplished. So then, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do likewise will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:17-20)

“And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one detail of the Law to fail.” (Luke 16:17)

The book of the temporal Levitical Mosaic Law was imperfect, and became obsolete. Only the eternal Ten Commandments Royal Law of YaHWeH is perfect, and converts the soul, etc. 

“For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto Elohim.” (Hebrews 7:19)

“The law of YaHWeH is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of YaHWeH is sure, making wise the simple.” (Psalms 19:7)

Satan, who models the ultimate rejection of Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah (in YaHWeH Elohim), will one day empower the Antichrist, whom the futuristic scriptural prophecies called “the lawless one,” whose rise to power “will be in accordance with how Satan works” (2 Thessalonians 2:9).

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Master, Master,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Master, Master, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness.’” (Matthew 7:21-23)

On judgment day, many Messianics-Christians will stand before Messiah rehearsing their spiritual works done in His name (which were conducted by the gifts of the Holy Spirit). However, even though the gifts and callings of Elohim are permanent and irrevocable, those whom He will cast out into the fire of Hell as rejects had a superficial relationship with Him (without a deeply intimate and selflessly loving covenantal knowing), and chose to do not obey the divine will of the Father, by being workers of lawlessness (breakers of His eternal Ten Commandments Law). 

Oftentimes, the words and teachings of the apostle Sha’ul (Paul) are misinterpreted,and taken completely out of context, thus causing confusion, deception, and destruction. 

In Romans 2:13 he stated, “For not the hearers of the Law are just in the sight of Elohim, but the doers of the Law will be justified.” 

“For I delight in the Law of Elohim according to the inward man.” (Romans 7:22)

“Consider also that our Master’s patience brings salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom Elohim gave him. He writes this way in all his letters, speaking in them about such matters. Some parts of his letters are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. Therefore, beloved, since you already know these things, be on your guard so that you will not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure standing. Instead, continue to grow in the favor and knowledge of our Master and Savior Yeshua [Jesus], the Messiah. Glory belongs to Him both now and on that eternal day! Amen.” (2 Peter 3:15-18)

The Jerusalem council of Messianic apostles (Acts 15) met to discuss the question of whether or not Gentiles should keep the temporal Levitical Law of Moses (within the book which was placed within the side of the ark). “Some of the believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees stood up and said, `The Gentiles must be circumcised and required to obey the law of Moses’” (verse 5).

The council concluded that Goyim (Gentiles) did not have to obey the law of Moses. Paul’s refusal to impose the Mosaic law on the Gentile Christians is supported by Peter on the ground that within his own experience YaHWeH Elohim poured out the Holy Spirit upon the Greek Gentile Christians Cornelius and his household without any preconditions concerning the adoption of the Mosaic law. This has absolutely nothing at all to do with the Ten Commandments Royal Law of YaHWeH, which were written by His finger, are eternal, still binding today for all of humanity, both Israelites and Gentiles to obey. 

 “I worship the Elohim of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets” (Acts 24:14). 

The writings of the apostle Paul are some of the most misinterpreted of all the Scriptures, especially this passage, which many teach inaccurately, with the false claim that we “no longer need to keep the seventh day sabbath set apart as holy from the other six days of the week”. 

“One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes the day, observes it to the Master; and he who does not observe the day, to the Master he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Master, for he gives Elohim thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Master he does not eat, and gives Elohim thanks.” (Romans 14:5-6)

Many allege that Paul is saying that whatever day one chooses to rest and worship is irrelevant so long as one is “fully convinced in his own mind” and “observes it to the Master.” This does not mean that the Sabbath is no different from any other day or that we are free to choose whatever day we wish to observe, for the Sabbath is nowhere mentioned this Scripture, nor anywhere else in the entire book of Romans. The reference here is simply to “days,” not the Sabbath or any other days of rest and worship commanded by YaHWeH.

It is important to look at the context to find out the days that Paul mentions herein. The passage in question about days in Romans 14:5-6 is in-between references to eating meat and vegetarianism in Romans 14:2-3, and also Romans 14:6. There is absolutely no biblical connection at all between the observation of the Sabbath day and vegetarianism, so therefore these verses must be taken completely out of context to erroneously assume Paul was referring to the Sabbath.

He wrote this letter to a congregation composed of both Israelite and Gentile Messianic-Christian believers in Rome (Romans 1:13; Romans 2:17). Eating and fasting practices that were not clearly addressed in the Scriptures had become a point of contention in that area and time. 

The tradition Talmud writings record that many Israelites of that time period fasted on Mondays and Thursdays, and also had other traditional fast days. The members of the Messianic assembly in Rome were trying to enforce fasting on particular days on other believers there, which prompted the apostle Paul to ask, “Who are you to judge another’s servant?” (Romans 14:4). He was setting the record straight by emphasizing the important fact that fasting is a voluntary exercise of worship that is not limited to any particular days of the week. 

Colossians 2:16-17, is another passage of Scripture that is often misinterpreted and used to support the erroneous claim that observance of the Sabbath is no longer necessary for today under the New Covenant in Messiah. Paul wrote, “Therefore let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come …”

The Colossian assembly observed the weekly sabbath, annual festivals, etc. Regarding the practices of festivals, new moons and Sabbaths, Paul said to “let no one judge you,” which is quite different from saying these practices are unnecessary or obsolete. He wasn’t discussing biblical practices, but expressing that no one should be ashamed of keeping the sabbaths, festivals, etc., whenever other skeptics mock them. 

Paul was saying that Christians should not be criticized for observing these days in a festive manner, and he cautioned that members should not let others judge them by those misguided ascetic standards in what they ate or drank or how they observed the Sabbaths or festivals. 

Here is another biblical passage which is often misinterpreted and taught incorrectly:

“Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross.” (Colossians 2:14)

Many people wrongly assume that the handwriting of requirements that were nailed to the cross was YaHWeH’s Ten Commandments Law. But this is not true at all. The Greek word translated into English as “handwriting” in this verse is "cheirographon", which contextually referred to a handwritten record of debt, or what we would today call an iou. In contemporary apocalyptic literature, the term was used to designate a “record book of sin,” meaning a written account of our sins (since the payment of a penalty is owed for sin, as a debt).

It was the record of our sins, which was nailed to the cross, because YaHWeH’s Law required the death penalty as payment for sin (Romans 6:23). This record is what “was against us, which was contrary to us”, not the Royal Ten Commandments Law of YaHWeH itself, which is perfect and eternal. These same Ten Commandments are quoted oftentimes all throughout the New Testament Scriptures because they are not passed away, nor obsolete, but remain in effect today for all Israelites and Gentiles. 

The New Testament in Modern English, by J.B. Phillips, makes this important factual truth crystal clear, translating Colossians 2:13-14 as: “He has forgiven you all our sins: Christ has utterly wiped out the damning evidence of broken laws and commandments which always hung over our heads, and has completely annulled it by nailing it over His own head on the cross.”

It is not the Law itself, but the evidence against us of our sins, that was nailed to the cross, enabling us to be forgiven. 

The apostle Yohanan (John), while chained as a prisoner by the Romans on the island of Patmos, was spiritually caught up into Heaven (via an out-of-body experience) on the Master’s Day (also called the Sabbath day of YaHWeH), and received the largest and most-detailed divine revelation about the future great tribulation period. Some believers erroneously claim that this was “Sunday”, or the “first day of the week, the anniversary of when Messiah resurrected from the dead”. However, this is an unscriptural lie which directly contradicts ALL of the many biblical, historical and archaeological evidences which conclusively prove that the Sabbath (on the Roman calendar Saturday) has always been the Holy Day of YaHWeH (also called the Master’s Day), and that it was the apostate Roman Catholic Church which created a man-made law enforcing Sunday observation and rest, while making rest on the Saturday Sabbath Day illegal, and punishable by imprisonment, torture and death. 

John is the main apostle who wrote against the Roman Mystery Babylon system within chapters 17 and 18 (which is the Vatican, sitting on the seven hills of Rome), and never would have observed any Roman days, while disobeying the eternal sacred Ten Commandments (including the Fourth Commandment, about keeping the Sabbath Day set apart as holy). 

 “I was in the Spirit on the Master’s day." (Revelation 1:10)

The Master’s day is exactly the same as the holy day of YaHWeH. (Exodus 20:10 ; Isaiah 58:13 ; Mark 2:28)

Many people who unfortunately ignore the sacred seventh day Sabbath rest choose to skip over, distort, or ignore the apostle Paul’s words within Hebrews chapter 4. It is NOT mere coincidence that YaHWeH chose to divinely inspire Paul by the Holy Spirit to write this passage of Scripture. He prophetically foresaw the coming time when many Christians would forsake the fourth Commandment, due to the widespread pagan influence of Mystery Babylon (Vatican-Roman Catholicism) during the Middle Ages, which changed the calendars and laws, making it illegal to rest on the seventh day Sabbath, while also enforcing unscriptural labor on that day. Hundreds of millions of Israelite and Gentile Messianic-Christians who resisted were arrested, tortured, and martyred (in majority by dismemberment or burning), as conclusively confirmed by many historians. 

 "The primitive Christians did keep the Sabbath of the Jews;...therefore the Christians, for a long time together, did keep their conventions upon the Sabbath, in which some portions of the law were read: and this continued till the time of the Laodicean council." "The Whole Works" of Jeremy Taylor, Vol. IX,p. 416 (R. Heber's Edition, Vol XII, p. 416).

“From the apostles' time until the council of Laodicea, which was about the year 364, the holy observance of the Jews' Sabbath continued, as may be proved out of many authors: yea, notwithstanding the decree of the council against it." "Sunday a Sabbath." John Ley, p.163. London: 1640.

"The seventh-day Sabbath was...solemnised by Christ, the Apostles, and primitive Christians, till the Laodicean Council did in manner quite abolish the observations of it." "Dissertation on the Lord's Day," pp. 33, 34

The Roman Catholic Council of Laodicea was held in AD 364 within the southwestern part of Phrygia Pacatiana (in modern-day Turkey) and is mentioned as one of the seven churches of the book of Revelation (Revelation 3:14–15).

The council of Laodicea states in cannon 29:

“Christians must not judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day, rather honouring the Lord's Day; and, if they can, resting then as Christians. But if any shall be found to be judaizers, let them be anathema from Christ.”

Just as Yeshua (Jesus) spoke via His angel to the assembly of Laodicea during the 1st century A.D., I firmly believe that this also contextually refers to the Roman Catholic Synod Council of Laodicia (during the 4th century). Many Christians (who are His people) became religiously compromised and corrupted by unbiblical man-made Roman idolatry and traditions. This caused spiritual lukewarmness which YaHWeH hates, making Him feel like spitting them out. 

“I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.” (Revelation 3:15-17)

Yeshua rebuked the compromised and corrupted religious Pharisees and Sadducees of the Sanhedrin order because of the erroneous man-made traditions (passed down from the Talmud), and said that these made the divine Word of YaHWeH Elohim ineffective within their lives. It is extremely important that none of us ever allow any unbiblical man-made traditions to make the Word of Elohim ineffective within our personal lives, the disobedience of which brings a curse, rather than a blessing. 

“Thus you nullify the Word of Elohim by the tradition you have handed down. And you do so in many such matters.” (Mark 7:13)

Biblical prophecies generally repeat themselves in loops throughout time. The Roman popes were a type and foreshadow of the future final antimessiah (of Revelation 13, etc), and they blasphemed YaHWeH, and passed laws which attempt to replace the Holy weekly sabbath and annual scriptural festivals with unholy man-made so-called “holidays”, which had pagan origins. They also heavily persecuted and martyred hundreds of millions of Messianics-Christians who kept the Sabbath, and obeyed the Commandments. This will occur again during the future great tribulation period. YaHWeH commanded His people to come out of Babylon several millennia ago (prior to the destruction of it), and is commanding His people to once again come out of (Mystery) Babylon, this time from the globalist Roman Vatican system. Are you still in this system, and obeying Rome’s unholy and unbiblical laws, rather than keeping ALL Ten of our Creator YaHWeH’s eternal Commandments (including Sabbath observation)? If so,...then now is the time to come out of her, before YaHWeH destroys the religious harlot Vatican city with fire. 

“He will speak words against the Most High and oppress the holy ones of the Most High. He will intend to change religious festivals and laws, and the holy ones will be handed over to him for a time, times, and half a time.” (Daniel 7:25)

“Come out from among her, My people! Save your lives, each of you, from the fierce anger of YaHWeH.” (Jeremiah 51:45)

“Then I heard another voice from Heaven, which said, "Come out of her, My people, that you may not become partakers in her sins, nor receive a share of her plagues. For her sins are piled as high as heaven, and Elohim has remembered her crimes.” (Revelation 18:4-5)

 “And the dragon was angry with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her offspring, who keep the commandments of Elohim, and have the testimony of Yeshua [Jesus] the Messiah.” (Revelation 12:17)

“For this is the love of Elohim, that we keep His commandments: and His  commandments are not burdensome.” (1 John 5:3)

“For whosoever shall keep the whole Law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, “Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not murder”. Now if you commit no adultery, yet if you murder, you have become a transgressor of the Law. So speak and so act as those who are to be judged under the Law of liberty... What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him?... O foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is worthless?...You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone. For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.” (James 2:10-12, 14, 20, 24, 26)

“For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: ‘And on the seventh day Elohim rested from all His work.’ There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of Elohim; for anyone who enters Elohim’s rest also rests from His own work, just as Elohim did from His." (Hebrews 4:4, 9,10)

The apostle Paul wrote these words approximately 35 years after Yeshua (Jesus) died on the cross, yet he reminds the early assembly of Messianic-Christian believers by saying, "There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of Elohim." 

Bereshith (Genesis) 2 conclusively proves 100% beyond all reasonable doubt that the seventh day Sabbath is not an Israelite Sabbath." Adam and Eve were not Israelites, and YaHWeH Elohim rested (shabath) on the very first seventh day Holy Sabbath, while Adam and Eve existed, millennia before the time of the Shemite Hebrew-Israelites. Yeshua (Jesus) said the Sabbath was made for man, meaning ALL mankind, throughout all time and eternity. (Mark 2:27)

It is obvious that Adam, Noah, and others during pre-Mosaic times were given laws by YaHWeH, who established covenants with them. One example is the fact that they all conducted animal sacrifices on altars to Him, for purification and righteousness. YaHWeH casted Adam and Eve out of the garden of Eden, destroyed the world by a global flood in Noah’s day, removed Israel from their homeland and exiled them in Babylon, destroyed His people and the city of Jerusalem in A.D. 70, and will destroy the wicked at the end of the 1,000 year millennial reign of Messiah for the same reason – lawlessness. What is lawlessness? It is the breaking of His laws. 

Remember, faith in YaHWeH Elohim does not eliminate His law. "Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? No! Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law." (Romans 3:31)

 The apostle Paul always kept the weekly sabbath, not only with Israelites, but also with the Gentile Christian believers :  

“And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. And the next Sabbath came almost the whole city together to hear the Word of Elohim." (Acts 13:42, 44)

The seventh day Sabbath is the ONLY day which YaHWeH has both blessed and set apart as holy. Likewise, anyone who keeps His sanctified Sabbath day will also be sanctified byYaHWeH Himself. It is a sign between Him and His people, and identifies them as His children of the Covenant. He blesses and rewards those of us who obey His Ten Commandments, which will endure forever, ages without end. 

“Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am YaHWeH who sanctifies you’” (Exodus 31:13).

In the future, ALL nations will be commanded to celebrate the Feast of Sukkot (Booths/Tabernacles). Any nation which refuses will become punished, stricken by YaHWeH with drought and famine : 

"And it shall come to pass, that whoever is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, YaHWeH of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. And it shall be, that whoever will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, YaHWeH of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. And if the people of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith YaHWeH will smite the nations who come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles" (Zechariah 14:16-18).

Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah promised to keep feast of Pesach (Passover) in the future Kingdom with His disciples (Matt. 26:29, Mark 14:25, Luke 22:18, 30). 

Here are more futuristic prophecies about all of humankind participating in a global celebration of the sacred weekly sabbaths and monthly new moon festivals :

"For just as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, will endure before Me,” declares YaHWeH, “so your descendants and your name will endure. And it shall come to pass, that from new moon to new moon, and from sabbath to sabbath, ALL of humanity shall come to worship before Me, says YaHWeH" (Isaiah 66:22-23).

"ALL of humanity shall bow down at the entrance of that gate before YaHWeH on the sabbaths and on the new moons." (Ezekiel 46:3)

Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah said :  

 "If you love Me, you will keep My Commandments.” (John 14:15)

Many believers today are restless, exhausted, and have weakening health, which shortens lifespans, thus preventing them from accomplishing their full calling, purpose and destiny. Those of us who obey Him in love will receive His divine free gift of righteousness (by grace/favor and faith). We become righteous in Messiah’s perfect righteousness, and enter His rest, receiving perfect peace, and everything our Heavenly Father YaHWeH wills for us as His beloved sons and daughters of the Covenant. He will cause us to ride upon His high places in the spiritual realm. It is high time to shine with His divine bright light of eternal life. HalleluYah! 

“This is what YaHWeH says: “Stand at the crossroads and look. Ask for the ancient paths: Where is the good way? Then walk in it and find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it!’” (Jeremiah 6:16)

“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

“Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; But those who wait upon YaHWeH will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:30-31)

“Blessed are they that do His commandments, so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the City.” (Revelation 22:14)

“If you turn your foot from breaking the Sabbath, from doing as you please on My holy day, if you call the Sabbath a delight, and YaHWeH’s holy day honorable, if you honor it by not going your own way or seeking your own pleasure or speaking idle words, then you shall delight yourself in YaHWeH; and I will make you to ride on the high places of the earth; and I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father:" for the mouth of YaHWeH has spoken it.” (Isaiah 58:13-14)
